Scona Lives

Scona Lives delves into the history of the top liveable community in Edmonton. Scona Central and East. It looks at the Native American presence, the Métis and Euro-Canadian settlers, the settlement patterns, the importance of the train that went through Mill Creek ravine and other forms of transportation. It retells the stories of people along with the businesses, the churches, the schools, the architecture, the gardens, the community and of course the Mill Creek ravine. Dr. Jan Olson interviewed over 85 people and scoured the archives to find the most interesting stories that explore the concept of community and why this neighbourhood is so successful.
